ISEN-ASTC-L is a service of the Association of Science-Technology Centers
Incorporated, a worldwide network of science museums and related institutions.
*****************************************************************************
We would be interested in learning about research that tracks visitors who
are encouraged in some way to follow up a science center/museum visit with a
visit to a website. We are particularly interested in return rates (of those
who are encouraged, what percent go to the website) and the drivers
(discount coupon, educational experience, etc.)
We have a number of exhibits here at The Tech Museum of Innovation where
visitors can use "Tech Tags" - RFID tags that have unique identifying
numbers. As visitors use their tags, a webpage is automatically created
based on their experiences. They can then go to a website,
http://my.thetech.org, and enter their number to see their page. (If you
want so see a sample page enter "E004010001FCE771" without the quotes in the
box on that page.)
We have been tracking the percent of tags that are used to access webpages
after a visit (currently 14%). But, we have no benchmark info for
comparison.
We would be very interested to learn about others' experiences.
