And might I add that one of the coolest and most memorable things I kept with me from my college biology (botany) classes was my professor saying "And we don't really know how that part works".
   There's still something left to discover! Even scientists and professors don't understand everything! For me, it was an exciting thing to hear.

And so even though I didn't understand the exact mechanism for the transport of that particular hormone (or whatever it was), I knew it was cool. And of course I ended up changing my major to botany after that class.
