I wonder if it would be possible for some people, perhaps the original poster when he/she does some research, to write up a little synopsis of their survey. I am deeply interested in the topic but am not now involved with this type of project nor have the time to make all those contacts. (Nor, I am guessing, do all those wonderful contacts want to be called by every interested member of ISEN-ASTC-L)

I would love to hear what general lessons are learned. Could you post when you are finished?

alissa, also give joedougherty a call at the austin children's museum in
austin a call.  they did a cool exhibit about 8 years ago that allowed for
kids to use things like crosscut saws, bit and brace, etc - all unattended!
