Program Associate, Gender and Family Learning Programs, The Franklin 
Institute, Philadelphia, PA

Responsibilities: Contribute to the development, sustainability and 
dissemination of three ongoing grant-funded initiatives. Develop 
and/or revise science curricular materials and web-based resources 
targeting families, teachers, and Girl Scouts. Serve as liaison with 
project partners, participants, and stakeholders. Address questions 
and concerns, and gather documentation, written and verbal, about 
ongoing efforts - program impact, sustainability, and challenges. 
Coordinate regional events, meetings, and workshops related to 
existing and new initiatives, including: a) acting as liaison between 
TFI and partner organizations, school(s); and others as develop; b) 
coordinating site- or museum-based events and meetings; and c) 
collecting data, updates, and documentation from program and research 
participants.  Additionally, contribute to the development and 
preparation of proposals, reports, presentations, and manuals; 
collaborate with staff at TFI in gender and family education efforts 
targeting girls, adults, and family groups; and manage project 
materials, utilizing available volunteers and staff.  
Qualifications:  College degree in science, educational psychology, 
or science education.  Previous teaching, preferably in urban 
schools, and curriculum or program development experience, especially 
in inquiry-based science, are essential.  Bilingual capabilities, 
especially in Spanish or Asian languages, preferred. Must have strong 
collaborative and communication skills.  Minority candidates are
