ISEN-ASTC-L is a service of the Association of Science-Technology Centers
Incorporated, a worldwide network of science museums and related institutions.

We offer one free Saturday afternoon a month, which we advertise, and 
always follow a "pay what you can" policy, which we don't advertise 
beyond a small, multi-lingual sign in our lobby and training our 
front desk staff to approach any families who look like they are 
hesitating about the price.

We got a lot of visitors on free afternoons, and they come from much 
more diverse backgrounds than our typical visitors. Some of our 
members (who visit monthly or even weekly and feel a sense of 
ownership about the museum) don't like the more crowded and 
rambunctious museum, and avoid visiting on those days. However, 
foundations are delighted to fund programming on those days, and we 
always have great activities scheduled.
