As Jean pointed out in a previous post Breastfeeding save the lives of 6
million infants under 1 year of age. My question still remains: if most of
the babies in a country are born in the community or at home what value is
there in supporting the BFHI. Is one not putting effort into something that
has very limited benefit?

If BFHI has limited value in this instance what are the alternatives if one
is to promote breastfeeding and increase its rate in developing countries
particularly.
