Hi All, I feel rather out of this discussion. My 4yo has taken to demanding in an irritated voice, why I don't give her brother a bottle "like normal babies" and is quite, quite determined that "babies have bottles". Her grandmother took her to a children's farm the other day, and she came back claiming that the animals were all bottlefeeding. "The mummy pig held the bottle of milk in her teeth and fed her baby, but she was very, very careful so she didn't break it" (the only "bottles" my kids know about are the glass bottles of cow's milk we get delivered to the door every morning). I am currently nursing, so I have shown my children that there is milk in there and even expressed some for them, but the filthy look I got suggested they think I am really quite peculiar in the head. I have a feeling if I push it, my older daughter will become even more firmly entrenched in her position. At least my 2yo still "nurses" by holding her teddies up to her belly button :-) -- Anna H. mailto: [log in to unmask] http://www.ratbag.demon.co.uk/anna/ *********************************************** The LACTNET mailing list is powered by L-Soft's renowned LISTSERV(R) list management software together with L-Soft's LSMTP(TM) mailer for lightning fast mail delivery.
