Sorry, I haven't read all of this thread but I don't understand why
the doctor would not want this baby to breastfeed. If neutropenia
is the problem that would be the babies neutrophils or "segs" not
the lymphocytes or antibodies. Besides breastmilk sIgA doesn't
get into the blood stream.
I've never seen neutropenia as a contraindication for
breastfeeding.
