their number, but I believe you can get it from the 800 directory.  You
may also want to check with an attorney before purchasing insurance, bec.
if this is not a recognized profession in your state, you may not need
malpractice insurance anyway. I have a feeling that not everyone will
agree with this, but I attended a session on this subject a while back at
a WIC conference, and it seemed to me that in NYS at least, malpractice
ins. wasn't necessary for an LC since it is not a registered or licensed
profession in NY.
