I've had one mother tell me that her husband is how they induced a partial milk supply for an adopted baby. I remember my breasatfeeding class 12 years ago before our first child was born. The instructor was talking about how a mother can sometimes feel like "whose breasts are these anyway?" Mom says they used to be hers, baby thinks they are his ,and dad says they used to be a little bit his. She then said there is plenty to go around. Baby won't starve if dad has a taste. She slipped her own seven month old onto her breast and began talking about how the breast makes milk. Didn't miss a beat. It isn't such a "wild " idea. Mary Graden LLLL Idaho
