Okay guys, I am now the M----- troublemaker! I have spoken with others having the same problems with the Adv. Kits. As I have posted I have used both and in the beginning I was switching back and forth (during the same pump session). Then I would single pump with the old on one side and the new on the other. I noticed a difference in suction on both occasions. I was told by my rep that I should use the new kit for a week and then decide. So believing that I was the ONLY ONE with a problem, I did as the rep suggested. I pump everyday at 11:00am and had gotten with the old kit 4 ounces on each side. With the new kit I got 1 - 1 1/2 ounces less on both sides. After I pumped I still felt as if I had milk. This week I have pumped (after I used the new) with the old and got the rest of my milk. STRANGE! Now I have been told by my rep (last night) that I am causing a panic within our rental group. She also said I was holding up orders (which I have no control of). I said I just wanted to make sure something was being done and the old “geeee, your the only one” just didn’t cut it. I have received several e-mails on the subject and have heard the same complaints. I am begging each of you that has had a problem to please write the following, if you are having problems OR are concerned the old kits will be phased out. Grody Weniger Richard Weston Brian Silver (Kit Engineer) Regional Rep Local Rep I have spoken with Dot Norcross in Newton Mass. She has a very large depot and is EXTREAMLY CONCERNED! She is a great lady and very helpful (Thank You Margery Wilson). If you have concerns or need to compare notes please e-mail me privately for her information. She too was told she was the only one. Personally I am concerned for the moms who rely on the pump while away from baby. As I said I get less and if a mother pumps all day and only gets a reduced amount what signal is this telling the body? Less milk needed because less milk is removed? I was also told by my rep that “things get blown out of proportion on Lactnet”. Could it be because we don’t get a commission check from M-----? The example about Lactnet was in regards to the mold in the tubing of a PIS. She said mom had a forceful let down and it backed into the tube. The mother then put it back into a dark bag and never washed it. “It was a isolated case blown out of proportion on Lactnet” was what I was told. I also understand they are sending me two new kits (an old and a new) and they want my kits so they can test them. They think it may be a problem with my particular kit. My concern is for moms and babies and the success rate of breastfeeding. I am not trying to make trouble, I just want the truth and not some typical public relations “your the only one”. If anyone has any ideas about what we as a group can do please speak (type) up. If you are also experiencing trouble please e-mail me and let me know. I am trying to keep track. I am sure after this I will be on the M----- Most Wanted list. :) Michelle Ramsey [log in to unmask]
