The 10 minute sessions you describe sounds like 'episodic' feeding which may not be enough - it may be all this baby can manage, of course, at this time. Whatever - the baby is clearly seriously underfed, and the 2 ounce catch up in two days you report is only a little reassuring, IMO. I wish everyone in this situation well, and it's good the midwife is still involved - I would expect the midwife *is* concerned and worried, and suspect maybe you have not been hearing the whole story from the mother.
