Happened to turn on the TV while I was quilting yesterday and caught several references to our favorite topic. "The girls" had a segment about all the things you need to get to take to the hospital (designer pillowcases, doughnuts for nurses, etc.) -- they had 3 different brands of breastpumps ("get the one you want before you get there"). Then they talked about having the hospital lactation consultant help you with your pump. (Also mentioned that over 75% of moms start out breastfeeding.) "But make sure you get them to help you with the breastfeeding so you're off to a good start....It's much harder to find a lactation consultant when you get home." During a later segment one of the participants said, "Oh, I just loved breastfeeding!" I could complain about the pillowcases and etc - but I was just very thankful to have people talk about breastfeeding as a part of life!
