Yamada North America is currently looking for an individual to fill the
position of EHS Assistant Manager:

            Essential Functions 

1.	Maintains and improves ISO-14001 Environmental Management
systems, ensures site compliance with all relevant federal and state
laws and local ordinances pertaining to the environment.
2.	Develops and implements effective programs for maintaining,
enhancing and fostering a "zero accident" safety culture.
3.	Coordinates and/or delivers all EHS training activities for the
plant.
4.	Leads environmental and safety committees and facilitates their
activities.
5.	Maintain plant Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS) files, OSHA 300
logs, EHS related files and associated paperwork (manifests, permits,
etc.)
6.	Prepare monthly EHS reports and business plan updates.
7.	General purchasing and/or requisition of EHS related items.
8.	Ensure first aid management through first aid follow up to
injuries, OSHA record keeping, and administering workers compensation
claims. 
9.	Oversees duties of onsite Security service and housekeeping
service. 
10.	Manages company property and casualty insurance.
11.	Other duties as assigned

 

Requirements

1.	Education  Bachelor's degree in Loss Prevention, Safety,
Environmental Health Science, or related field. 
2.	Experience  Three or more years experience in health, safety and
environmental management systems including ISO-14001 with proven
results.
3.	Skills  Knowledge of ISO-1400 and ability to effectively
communicate within all levels of the organization. Knowledge of loss
prevention/security, risk and claims management and ergonomic principles
preferred. Strong leadership, interpersonal and organizational skills
necessary.
