Lisa, I had recurrent plugged ducts (almost daily) and frequent mastitis with my first, and was able to get it under control with three times daily use of 1200-2400 mg lecithin. It was recommended by my LCs, and know many others who have had success with that as well. Not sure if that helps... Also, I was able to fight advanced mastitis (104 degree fever, etc.) without antibiotics using swallowed raw garlic.. Worked within a half hour for me. All obvious things like tight bra, breast drainage, checking for thrush. M.O. is only using Keflex. Is there any other ab that can be used if keflex isn't cutting it? She's considering u/s now too! What have I missed. Also there was recent talk of castor oil compresses. what does that do?
