Remicade (according to Tom Hale) was undetectible in breast milk 24 hours after infusion. Size of molecule probably too large to get into breast milk. Similar pharmakodynamics - if molecular size so large must be administered parenterally (not orally) may not be available by gi transfer - which milk is. -----Original Message----- From: Lactation Information and Discussion [mailto:[log in to unmask]] On Behalf Of purple Sent: Thursday, April 30, 2009 1:12 PM Subject: remicade Is it safe to breastfeed after remicade infusion?Pt is getting Remicade infusion every 8 weeks.should she dump her milk? *********************************************** Archives: http://community.lsoft.com/archives/LACTNET.html To reach list owners: [log in to unmask] Mail all list management commands to: [log in to unmask] COMMANDS: 1.
