I am proud to say I was breastfed in 1964 when rates were at an all time
low in NZ. I was complemented with whole milk with Karilac, which is the
same as Karo I suppose, and water.

My 'Plunket' (well-child) book advises to give me strained porridge and rice
cereal at teatime at 13 weeks.

My husband's mother was a great one to advise brandy rubbed onto babies gums
when teething. At times the family story goes that teaspoon or more would
go down the baby's tummy!

I would rather advise a teaspoon of brandy to the granny than the babe now I
guess....

What are we doing today that future generations will be agast or amused at??
