I wonder about removing the implants being beneficial since it would require another surgery and new possibilities for further damage to nerves. I usually ask a mother with implants to show me before and after pictures. I have found in my experience that implants themselves are less of a concern for production than the breast development that was the reason she felt the need for augmentation. I show mothers pictures that match the 'before' pictures when they have been struggling with production because it helps them to understand that they did not 'cause' this with the surgery. Mothers have an uncanny ability to make everything their fault. I find it helps them in the decisions for breastfeeding management if they can understand the reasons for where they are.
