Jan and Others:  The issue of licensed vs. lay health care providers rears 
its ugly head again.  If I'm understanding the scope of practice correctly, 
an MD IBCLC is not allowed to prescribe medications, to "order" alternative 
therapies, etc. under the new scope of lactation practice. Those of us who 
hold a health care license also have a practice act we must adhere to or 
risk losing our licenses.  Hmmm...
