Lee says: <<I was just wondering if some of this is related to the oversupply we see so much of today (for various reasons). To down regulate, LCs recommend using one breast per x number of hours. Then along comes an LC who misinterprets that information and thinks it should apply to BF in general. “A little knowledge is a dangerous thing”???>> I imagine this could be a possibility as well. Frankly, I don't see much oversupply. Sigh. Undersupply much much more common in my neck of the woods. By the way, my own mother was told -- mumble mumble years ago -- suffice it to say that it was Maaaaaaaaaany years ago.... that she should feed only on one side per feeding AND only every 4 hours, precisely at 10 - 2 - 6 - 10. Hence if you see mistakes in my posts, either spelling or grammar, or inability to remember things, cut me some slack, OK? I don't have the benefit of the extra 7 to 8 IQ points that were my God-given right. In a nutshell, I was deprived.
