Hello, My office mate was prescribed birth control pills 4 months after the birth of her baby. Despite promises that this pill would not affect her supply, it did (no surprise). She stopped taking the pills after only 5 days. Her supply dwindled, and she began supplementing with formula. It is now about 2 months later and she is still very upset and would like to attempt full relactation. She says colostrum-like milk (not white) comes out of the nipple with manual expression. Her daughter will "nurse" for 15 minutes several times per day. Any thoughts on how to help re-establish her supply? Any help is appreciated, I have just begun IBCLC training and have little experience in this situation. Thanks in advance, Cynthia *********************************************** To temporarily stop your subscription: set lactnet nomail To start it again: set lactnet mail (or digest) To unsubscribe: unsubscribe lactnet All commands go to [log in to unmask] The LACTNET mailing list is powered by L-Soft's renowned LISTSERV(R) list management software together with L-Soft's LSMTP(R) mailer for lightning fast mail delivery.
