Following with horror the stories of at least 20,000 dead in
Pakistan/India/Afghanistan after the earthquake there this week, and hearing
reports that twenty per cent of the population in the affected areas is
under five years of age, I was relieved to hear that the first plane from
the US bringing relief supplies contained clean water and wool blankets, and
medicines. Formula conspicuously lacking.
Pakistan put out a call for water and blankets. Didn't ask for formula
either!
The US has something to learn here.
