Haven't posted in awhile--my baby left for college. Got a postcard yesterday with the picture of the mother nursing in a straight jacket and wondered if anyone else thought the same. Wouldn't it be nice to arrange for all the formula reps to have to eat under a straight jacket before they hit the wards? A few summers ago at our local pro baseball game, the row we were seated in won a large Nestle candy bar. I, as well as my husband and two boys, turned them down, saying "no thank you--we boycott Nestle". The stadium worker and some others from the row asked us why and we took the opportunity to educate them. Before Jonathan left for college, the "candy man" came into his work and gave him a huge bag full of Nestle bars. They sat on our coffee table for a day and then suddenly disappeared. When I asked my son what happened to them (trying not to look at his stomach) he proudly said "I threw them out". We are making a difference in this world.
