Hi, Mary Kay and others:  The question I've been asking myself more and
more of late is - What happened to moms own milk to the nipple/areola area
after feedings? - It never did NOT work, so why have we abandoned this
practice?  I suspect for the same reasons that we accuse the formula and
other companies of - profit!  I've posted on this disturbing trend before -
the focus has dramatically shifted from actual breastfeeding, as in baby at
breast, to breastfeeding equipment.  Then we wonder why breastfeeding rates
are declining again?
