We receiived a call today from a mom with Hodgkins Lymphoma, she is due to deliver in April. This is her second child - she is 41 yrs old and adamant about wanting to breast feed this baby. She will need to start chemotherapy 2 weeks after she delivers, and will continue for 6 months. She is asking us for help with her options, she truly wants her child to receive breast milk. Does anyone have any advice - any ideas. She will not be able to pump enough of a supply for six months in two weeks. My only thought was donated milk combined with her previous pumped milk. She lives in New York, we have no milk banks here (unfortunately). Any stories of experiences would be great.
