I need a little help with a PG mom due in July with 1st baby. She had a
stroke 4 yrs ago while on BCP. Was put on Heparin while in hospital. Then
Coumadin, then Plavix. Does not remember why the coumadin was d/ced. Has
been on Plavix 3 years without problems. Taking Heparin injections BID
while PG. Was told by OB and Neuro. that Plavix not recommended and question
Bfing at all.
Dr. Hale's book says Plavix is L4, Coumadin L2. Is there any obvious reason
that Coumadin would not be the drug of choice (if she tolerates it well)?
Thank you for your years of wonderful knowledge.
