Dear Ellen, is she asking because she is going to have an implant or is she pg? Sounds like she has one side normal, one side tubular. Right? As with so many things with breasts, you won't know the answer until you've had the influence of the hormones of pg and then BF. If she can wait, I'd wait until after she's had a baby or 2 and see what happens. The flip side, if she wants implant now, is that this breast probably won't work, so what difference does it make if the 2nd breast is tubular or an implant? We know she can feed baby just fine with one functioning breast. Unfortunately, the only 2 moms with a truly tubular breast I've seen, also had issues with the "better" breast not functioning optimally.
