Barbara, Thanks so much for sharing about how you have learned to comfort and nurture yourself. It is so important in my life, it helps me get through the difficulties. I also wanted to suggest to those who can't afford private therapy to look into the university doctoral programs for therapists. I was seeing someone at my local university, who was a seasoned therapist, enrolled in the doctoral program. The cost was on a sliding scale, very, very reasonable. I think it started at $10 per session. The only drawback is the therapist is only there for a year, then I had to change to another therapist. It helped me so much, even with two different therapists. Warmly, Roni Chastain, RN, FACCE Long Island, New York > Several people confided that they have no money for private therapy (no > insurance, etc). Every city has support groups ranging from Al-Anon to > hospices with grief groups. A lot of these support groups are free, and > there is amazing help there as well. > ********************************************** *********************************************** The LACTNET mailing list is powered by L-Soft's renowned LISTSERV(R) list management software together with L-Soft's LSMTP(TM) mailer for lightning fast mail delivery.
