Hi there. The best place to find information about drugs and lactation is
from Tom Hale Ph.d Rph's book, Medications in Mothers' Milk. This book is
updated yearly and is widely available...and an authoritative book.

As for pumping longer to increase supply, that will not produce more
milk. More frequent, shorter stimulations will be best for this, and of
course, baby is best to produce the best stimulation. Sounds like she needs
basic techniques to avoid biting, which are outlined in the Breastfeeding
Answer Book, at www.lalecheleague.org, ...and a lot of reassurance. Perhaps
some herbs to help with supply increase also, if they do not interfere with
prior conditions such as asthma or diabetes.
