I am posting this question for my an LC friend who is currently unable to
get on Lactnet. Can anyone suggest sources for obtaining tubing in bulk
that can be used to make the improvised nursing supplementer that Dr.
Jack Newman suggests in his conference sessions and in his book? He
describes it as a 5 French, 36 inch feeding tube. Or it can be other
tubing that is akin to the 0.65, 9.75 and 0.85 mm tubing used in a
commercial nursing supplementer. None of the surgical supply places or
web sources she has contacted have it. Has anyone had experience using
the homemade supplementer that they would like to share?

Thanks in advance for any help.

Best regards,
Ellen Maughan, J.D., new IBCLC!
