Thanks to all of you for answering my question about this mom with hair and weight loss. Now about this leader who did not return the call...Iīts really hard and sometimes it happens when you really put this voluntering like a real obligation, Here, where I'm from, there are no leaders , as I mentioned before. In the begining and even as an applicant I use to visit every mom thet solicited me, and the word spread too fast. I went and saw moms and worked my way with my 2 daughter 2 and 3 (last year), sometimes I visited moms when my husband came from work, and I even did visits leaving my kids sick at home. Then I got pregnant. In my 2nd month , I had some bleeding, so I was bed resting. I got this call by his mom who said;" are you the mom who makes free visits", then, I said that I was so sorry, etc, etc...explaining my situation. Well, she begged and kept calling, I sent an applicant telling this mom that she was only a mom with experience but she couldnīt help. I felt guilty and went to help. I had asked if she could pay for the travel expenses $4 dlls which is really nothing compared with the price of formula, whoīs prices are the same as in US. ,she said it was too much and gave me 3. The help was succesfull and she asked me if I could visit again. The next day I lost my baby and went through all the stages of grief, and I felt guilty for making that visit. This is when I decided to prepare to become an LC and I hope I make it to the exam. Now as a leader I recieve calls and return them when required, but you canīt sacrifice your life nor your family time for nothing$$, and most leaders like me, end up paying from your own pocket what this volunteering costs, like calls, visits, books , education(trips to these), memberships. Sometimes we get moms who just call to complain and to try to "convince" us to tell them to stop nursing so that they donīt feel guilty. Now, sorry if I sound as a discontent leader and, no, I love it, specially when I see the happy babies at breasts in meetings , or when a mom calls me to thanks for the help, although this is not common. Maybe someone can relate to this but I just want to help anyone to open the eyes like no one did to me, I hit me hard!
