I really can't take the polls and questionnaires anymore that don't even reflect the fact that it is possible to nurse your preschooler and some people actually share beds with their toddlers. My son's preschool sent a questionnaire that asked "when did you wean your child" and "was it traumatic". My playground mom friends said they'd be tempted to lie, but I just filled in "not yet" and "we don't anticipate that it will be". They also asked if the child had his/her own room. So I answered that he's still sharing our bed. Then Parentcenter.com had a poll on avoid late night visits from your toddler (2-4). The poll did not even include the option that your toddler might still be in bed with you. It was clear from the comment section that those who had responded so far were still sleeping with their toddlers. I couldn't resist pointing out how silly this poll was. I think there is a lot of room for help on questionnaire designs when it comes to breastfeeding friendly practices!
