Hi Denice: The last mother I worked with had many of the same problems as your client. One thing that worked well was using a "sling" ( such as the infant carrier one's) Using this enabled the mom to keep baby safely at the level of the breast and close but also provided security if spasticity occured involving the arm muscles. We found this worked pretty well compared to only "bopsies" or pillows etc. which slipped/fell if spasticity occured.
