Solid foods are quite unimportant in the first year of life.

Babies in allergic families should start solids after nine months if possible
and I have never seen a problem with babies who preferred exclusive
breastfeeding for twelve months. Chewing disorders to not evolve, growth
slows in all babies (babies double or triple weight in the first year and
don't even double in the ensuing three years) and anemia is not really a
problem.
