Hi SueAnn- nice to see you here as you said: So, is the lung metaphor not a good one to use on women who experienced cesarean births? No, I don't think so, because upon further thought, I said to myself, "Hmm, if my breathing were put in an unfamiliar place snip for brevity maybe my breathing WOULD get confused and erratic. Just like my uterus had been." ===================================== I know when I think too hard about breathing and autonomic functions wrt breathing, I *do* get terribly confused! It takes too much concentration to think about breathing and as a result, I cant' do it. I was also told that I thought too much about giving birth (as I did it) and wouldn't just give in to it. Breastfeeding was fine though; just did that. ===== Kate Hallberg, mom to Ursula (5), Sage (3!) and ?!?(1-6-01)http://www.cs.colorado.edu/~kolina/ "It has been estimated that at least 29 million dollars could be saved annually in formula costs if WIC mothers would breastfeed for just one month." -US Department of Agriculture Earn money surfing the web- http://www.epipo.com/index.asp?refid=kolina __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!?
