I would tend to agree that breastfeeding/attachment parenting families
may be larger. I have noticed this among my La Leche League
colleagues. I am certain that the average family size for LLL Leaders
would be a bit larger that the norm. Most of the LLL founders had very
large families. This leads me to a chicken and egg question. Are these
women having more babies as a result of their breastfeeding/attachment
parenting experiences OR are they motivated to breastfeed/parent this
way for the same loving reasons that they choose to have more children?
Probably both! I'm glad that many breastfeeding mothers are having
more children than "normal" as they may help to tip the balance in
favour of breastfeeding/attachment parenting.
