Re: Mom whose milk has *really* never come in after one week: What about
her postpartum bleeding? Is she bleeding, or could there possibly be a
retained placental fragment?  If the answer is negative, what is her
breast shapes? Any "udder", bowing shapes? I realize that this is quite
unlikely and that you probably already screened for it through breast
growth..  I have never used syntocinon, but I suppose it might also be a
possibility to use in conjunction with other measures. My last thought,
also pretty far out, is psychological, though I would still expect to see
some kind of milk come in, if not let down.  The mother of a hospitalized
baby can really freeze up sometimes....
