Speaking purely anecdotally, I attended a conference about three years
ago.There was a session on breastfeeding in special circumstances. Boy, were
these special! One woman had CF; she wasnt' diagnosed until she developed
symptoms as an army nurse. She went on to marry and have children, and
breastfed them! Another mother was blind.I'd like to think that I wasn't the
only one moved to tears by the heroism of these special mothers.  If you'd
like, I could probably contact Mary Fisher at Columbia Presbyterian Medical
Center in NYC who hosted the panel.
