I agree with Janice--the DHA supplements are a Trojan horse that appear to
support breastfeeding, but their true purpose is to undermine bf; to promote
the FUD factor: fear, uncertainty, and doubt. And to make more 'rules' that
moms will feel they have to follow. Humans have thrived for thousands of
years without an analysis of human milk. The supplements are sneaky,
underhanded, sleazy and of doubtful benefit. Their purpose is to gain brand
recognition, create FUD, and ultimately, increase market share in formula
users (while getting what profit MJ can from the mothers who buy the
supplements). It's always about the money.
