Although some teen moms shew the results and feeding practices also cause
problems, I wonder if the researchers based their study on breast development
in relation to the number of menstrual cycles the mother has before
pregnancy.
Correct me if I'm wrong but: doesn't breast growth continue with every
menstrual cycle until about age 30? If that is true then logically, teen
mothers would not have developed the same amount of of glandular tissue as a
mother who is well into her reproductive years. It would not be prudent to
specify an age where a mother would be a teen especially considering the
differences in when menses start (some at age 13 or age 17 )
>>First, I don't think a sample of 22 is worth a whole lot of excitement.<< I
agree 1000 percent. This information, is NOT a reason to tell these mom's not
to nurse, but rather one more reason we should be a bit more vigilant.
