I agree.  While we might lke to talk about risks of artificial feeding, for some audiences it might be a turn off and then they don't listen to anything we say.  One approach I have used to avoid the "advantages of breastfeeding" approach is to talk about what babies miss out on when they are not breastfed or they do not receive their mother's milk.  It doesn't paint artificial feeding as the enemy (although many of us might feel that way) but still uses breastfeeding as the standard against which everything else is measured.
