dear all,

another remark for the collection of absurd (and dangerous) things mothers
are told. (see? didn't mention who made the remark!). my cousin wrote me
today to ask if she had told her friend the correct thing. i was so proud,
this is the woman who thinks she is the only mother in Amarillo Texas who
breastfed past the first day. unfortunately, she may be correct.

her friend was told to give her four month old baby 8 - 16 ounces of water a
day to insure the baby gets enough flouride! my cousin knew to tell her this
was bad. i chimed in with info about water intoxication. i never cease to be
surprised.

except by the post from joy, in australia. what a perfect name! would you
like to emigrate? we could use you here.
