Hi. I am a LLL leader, mother of two, and married to Robert Warburton, a
PhD in Biochemistry who posted a question about microwaving to destroy
Candidas in diapers. I now peruse Lacnet and would like to offer a response
to

Alison re olive oil as antifungal

According to a resource I have it is. This resource says it contains oleic
acid which prevents the conversion of the benign yeast state of Candida to
its invasive fungal state. Being new to Lactnet and not having my copy of
the rules in front of me, if you would like the name of the book that
discusses this, email my husband and we'll give you the title and author.

We are personally coming to the end, I hope, of thrush. Then of course we
have two more weeks beyond being symptom free before we are out of the
woods. My poor daughter is so sick of having swabs shoved in her mouth! And
I am so tired of having our beautiful nursing experience be so clinical.
Will I ever be able to again experience the joy of ending a nursing session
with my daughter sleeping peacefully in my arms instead of her waking with
a clamped jaw as I attempt to rid us of this "beastly yeast ?"
