The European Food Safety Agency is recommending that mothers should use
liquid infant formula for the first four weeks of life if babies are not breastfed.
 Powdered infant formula is not a sterile product and can contain a
bacteria--salmonella and enterobacter sakazakii--that can cause illness and death.
Labels on infant formula maybe changed to reflect this concern.
