Perhaps you could provide a page of typed references, as listed in the BAB
(see p. 133): "Protein foods are among the most common foods that cause
sensitivity in babies. After cow's milk, other foods to consider are soy,
egg white (Casas 2000), peanuts (Vadas 2001), fish, especially cod
(Vonlanthen 1998), wheat, nuts and Kola nuts, corn, pork, citrus fruits,
berries, tomatoes, and spices (Riordan and Auerbach, p. 657)."

You could include samples of Lansinoh and PureLan 100 along with
information on where to order these products, since that medical office is
selling the product in question. Information on the inappropriate use of
Lansinoh and PureLan 100, such as in the case of topical candida, would
also be helpful. The physician and staff may also appreciate a short
inservice on assessing and treating nipple soreness in lactation, when to
refer to an IBCLC etc., perhaps during the staff's lunch break.

My masseuse, who completed her basic education in massage a couple of years
ago, tells of faculty warning massage students against using any kind of
nut-based oils (almond oil, peanut oil, etc.) in order to avoid possible
allergic reactions in their clients. I had taken in some samples of
Weleda's baby oil for her to use in infant massage, and was given the
caution of using such a nut-based oil (almond) in infants or adults, which
of course made sense. I passed this info along to Weleda.
