Hello
I'm an IBCLC newly working as an RN in a Neonatal
Intensive care unit. Could someone please share with
me what containers your NICU uses for milk storage and
where you have found them. Of course I'm well aware of
the current recommendations ie polypropylene etc.
Some units use sterile water containers with water
dumped out, others specimen containers. We are
presently using volu-feeds-free from formula company
and purchased lids at a reduced cost from formula
company. The Medela storage bottle is cost
prohibitive. Any ideas out there? Thanks for your
input, please reply via e-mail
