Hello, everyone,

I am new to Lactnet after many years & very happy to have finally got myself
organised enough to sign back on. Reading your posts is very interesting
(and addictive!)

I am an IBCLC living in France, also LLL leader.

I've jut been contacted by telephone by a couple in Berlin, Germany whose
baby is losing weight - born 19 June at 3450g, now weighs 3090g, c-section,
baby has received glucose water, mother has very supple breasts, can express
a bit of milk manually. Stools are still dark meconium, slightly lighter
since yesterday, urine seems pink apparently. Very sleepy baby.

I've suggested skin to skin contact, breast compression...but I'd really
like to have a LC see them at home, they leave the hospital tomorrow.

Thanks for your help.

Juanita Jauer Steichen, MA, IBCLC, LLL
Aubais, France
