Jan, 
I would have the baby rechecked by the Ped to rule out any kind of medical
problem.  I knew of one apparently healthy and well fed infant, simply not
gaining weight.  After alot of investigation, including, one
hospitalization, it was finally discovered that he was fighting an outer
ear infection..  
  BTW, I am impressed that you got the IBCLC screen name on aol.  Congrats
for being the first!!
