Thanks to all of you who expended time and chewed pencils (or slammed
keyboards) writing letters to Dr. Dworkin and the Ottawa Citizen.  It is
your efforts that caused the Citizen to reprint 5 letters, and had Dr.
Dworkin write a second column on breastfeeding.  He received much useful
information in the copied letters I saw, including protocols for managing
breastfeeding challenges.

The new column also listed many of the advantages of breastfeeding and
included the following very important quote (although it was not Dr.
Dworkin's - it was from a long-time LLLC Leader, Colleen Kennedy!):
"Mothers need access to competent trained breastfeeding counselors, whether
they are physicians, nurses, lactation consultants or La Leche League
leaders."  This lets thousands of readers know that help is out there for
the asking!

Thanks for ALL of your efforts.  We know they had an effect - first in
getting him to write that additional column, and secondly I believe Dr
Dworkin will at least take a second look before offering supplements so
quickly in the future!
