spoons - I agree with Nikki that if the spoon is clean and ready to eat with
or stir coffee then it is clean for the well baby.
massage - I am guessing that the study that showed 5 gms/day and 4 days off
hosp stay maybe did not reach STATISTICAL SIGNIFICANCE so that is why they
said no benefit (could be proved). More research is probalby needed to
replicate, larger sample etc.
slow/no gainers - someone shared about another slow gainer and the baby had
8 wets/2 dirty diapers. I had said in an earlier post that sometimes the
diaper count can be deceiving, esp wets. But the dirty diapers are low and
this is worrisome, esp whenever there are other signs of poor feeding. I
also wanted to say that the doctor working with the case Fio's shared really
could be considered bf friendly. In my experience, other doctors would have
ordered no bf and total formula in a baby like that. Just to have her
continue shows support on his part. Also, overwhelmingly, the baby's low
gain will be from LOW VOLUME OF MILK not poor quality/fat in milk.
